Marketers who have the Cojones to be bold

Two DMN Marketing Hall of Femme honorees are among the five winners of the Cojones Awards handed out at SXSW.

Direct Marketing News knew these ladies had the whole package before they were honored at SXSW with Cojones Awards, presented to “the boldest modern marketers” plying the digital and social byways during an event hosted by Austin-based marketing agency nFusion.

Cisco CMO Blair Christie (above), a 2015 Marketing Hall of Femme honoree, and 2014 honoree Karen Quintos, CMO of Dell, were among five marketers chosen from during two-week Tweet2Vote election centered around the Austin music, arts (and marketing) festival.

The other winners were Saucony CMO Chris Lindner, Dun & Bradstreet CMO Rishi Dave, and Sephora VP of Interactive Media Bridget Dolan.

Christie was honored with the “Transform” award, having displayed the “courage to transform the high-tech products company into a customer-centered solutions, content marketing machine,” according to awards materials. First runner-up for the award was another Marketing Hall of Femme honoree, General Electric CMO Beth Comstock, Class of ’13.

Direct Marketing News will be inducting Christie into its Marketing Hall of Femme on April 24 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York.
