The 2014 edition of Gulder Ultimate Search will hold at Aguleri forest, Anambra State for 28 days starting from October 3, the organisers have announced.
Commenting, the Corporate Media & Brand PR Manager, Nigerian Breweries Plc, representing Kufre Ekanem, the company’s Corporate Affairs Adviser, revealed reasons why Aguleri Forest will play host to the 11th Season of the show.
“For 28 days (October 3 to October 30), we will be entertained by an original Nigerian adventure programme produced to international standards. The daily highlights will be aired on national terrestrial and satellite TV stations, the Corporate Media & Brand PR Manager, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Edem Vindah, said.
Vindah, who represented Kufre Ekanem, the company’s Corporate Affairs Adviser, further explained why the company settled for Aguleri forest.
“When we set out to explore possible locations, we had three places in mind; Ogbunike Cave, Owerri Ezukala Waterfalls and Aguleri forest. There were several factors we took into consideration like looking for a terrain with a suitable ambience for GUS tasks; places that have natural habitats and also places with the least human interference and so on. The Aguleri jungle satisfied these criteria,” he said.
According to him, while the Ultimate Winner gets N10 million and a brand new SUV, the second, third and fourth winners will earn N3 million, N2.5 million and N1.5 million respectively, and the remaining contestants will win various sums, ranging from N1.45 million to N1 million.
Meanwhile, the brand has declared that the reality TV show remains a major platform for the Gulder brand. Emmanuel Agu, Marketing Manager, Gulder, Legend & Life, saidthat the Gulder brand is experiencing growth year on year.
“I can tell you that if the return on investment were not positive, we would not be able to sustain the programme. Nigerian Breweries Plc. commits a lot of resources to the production of the show and this is only possible because the brand is very profitable,” Agu said.
Corroborating Agu, Onyeka Okoli, Senior Brand Manager, Gulder, declared that the 11th Season of GUS would be fun, exciting and suspense-filled.
