A FIENDISHLY tricky problem will put your maths skills to the test.
The puzzle, which emerged on Facebook this week, has left the British public scratching their heads.
To solve the problem, you must find the value of a clock, some bananas and a shape.
Social media users have also been warned that the “answer isn’t 19 or 26”.
So can you solve it?
More than 11,000 people have taken to Facebook to share their answers – which range from 25 to 165.
According to one maths geek, the answer is actually 38.
To get to the solution, you must look at the number the hands on the clock are pointing to.
Then, you must add the total sides of the shape onto your final sum.
So you must calculate 2 + 3 + 3 x 11.
Following the rules of bodmas, it’s important to do the multiplication first.
So 3 x 11 = 33
Then add 2 + 3 (5) to this number.
The final answer should be 38.
